A number of great players have been lucky enough to play for the England national team. It is quite unfortunate that some of the best players did not find their way to fame like those of the present day due to the lack of mass media that has only developed fully in the last few decades.Being from the UK, it is quite difficult to suggest which players are famous on a global level. I know for fact that I could name perhaps four American Football players (all of which play for the Patriots) so this may well be the same case for other nations who are attempting to name English soccer players. Nonetheless, I will have a go at naming who I think are the most famous players to wear the Three Lions' on their shirt.
